Out & About — Event Spotlight

It was all hands on deck this month with a string of news and developments:

  • Ontology has launched the framework upgrade of Mercury, a secure, trustless, DID based peer-to-peer communication protocol, alongside enhancements to ONT Login and ONT TAG. This upgrade realizes multiple functions such as KYC verification, authentication and authorization in the Web3 decentralized identity system, solving the problems of exchanging or transmitting verifiable credentials and verifying entity identities in a secure and private way, and help developers easily integrate DID in Web3 applications , thereby promoting the construction of a decentralized society (DeSoc).
  • Ontology’s $10 million development fund is available for all global Web3 developers to deploy on the Ontology EVM. We also have a $100,000 Hackathon fund for the best projects presented on DoraHacks. At present, many global teams are building their applications and we are calling all to build for Web3, especially around user DID and Data security.
  • Ontology’s unique infrastructure supports robust cross-chain collaboration and is available on the well-known Digital Asset Exchange DECOIN.io. It now supports digital assets transactions on the Ontology chain, providing global users with safe and convenient digital asset services.
  • SWFT ALLChainBridge, one of the products of SWFT Blockchain responsible for ensuring the efficient swap of digital assets across different chains, has added support for the Ontology Network.
  • Ontology’s Business Development Manager Li Ge was invited to participate in the TRENDS TWITTER SPACES NFT special session held by Cointelegraph Chinese, and the online marketplace session hosted by SME Finance Forum, sharing opinions on “the layout of Ontology on the NFT track” and the benefits of DID in the form of the suite of solutions offered by ONT ID.
